Historical Significance of Jhula Devi Temple
Jhula devi Temple, also known as Jhoola devi Temple, is a temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. It was established to seek her protection against wild animals because there was huge terror.
According to legend, the villagers of the region were frequently attacked by wild animals, including leopards and tigers. Desperate for safety, they prayed to Goddess Durga. It is said that Goddess Durga appeared in a shepherd’s dream, instructing him to excavate her idol from a specific spot. Following her divine guidance, the idol was discovered, and the temple was constructed at that exact location.
