About Jalgot
Jaglot is a beautiful town at a junction of Hindu Kush, Karakoram, and the Himalayas in the Gilgit-Baltisan region of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Jaglot is home to the ninth-highest peak, Nanga Parbat. Feary Meadow to Bearen Landscape is a hub for adventure travel throughout the world. For those who love mountain expeditions, they should visit Jaglot.
History of Jaglot
A confluence of the Giglit and Indus rivers just south of Jaglot makes it a truly exceptional place. Historically, politically, geographically or through any lens, the place plays an important role in Indian subcontinent.
Bunji, which lies south of Jaglot, was the military garrison of the princely states of Jammu and Kashmir. It lay along the route linking British India to China via the Kashmir region. During the Sicahen conflict, Jaglot serves as an important base for the Pakistani army, which is also the highest battle playground in the world.
