About VITM
One of the best science museums in India, Visweswaraiah Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), is the top place to visit in Bangalore. Located on the Kasturba road, the museum is situated at a distance of 5 km from Bangalore City railway station.
It stands tall as a constituent unit of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1962 in memory of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The museum is spread over an area of 4000 square meters.
Engine Hall
To know the inner workings of the marvels of engineering, VITM is a paradise for curious minds. Machines used in industry, jet aircraft engines, and other mechanical devices are displayed to visitors at the engine hall at VITM.
