Echo Point, Needle Hole Point, and Kate’s Point are three distinctive viewpoints that are located within the Kate’s Point area. Dating back to the British colonial era, Kate’s Point, also known as Nake Khind, is set at an impressive altitude of 1290 meters above sea level. 

At the vantage point of Kate’s Point,you can see the serene expanse of Dhom Dam along with the majestic peaks of Pandavagarh, Kamalgadh, and Mandardeo. 

Adjacent to Kate’s Point is the captivating Elephant point, named after Sir John Malcom’s daughter. The elephant’s head point is also known as the Needle Hole point. The name of the point is derived from its remarkable resemblance to the head of an elephant. Also, a hole within the natural rock resembles the eye of a needle. 

At the vantage point of the elephant’s head, you get a breathtaking view of the Sahyadri mountain range.

However, it’s important not to confuse Kate’s Point and Needle Hole Point with Elephant Head Point, which is situated near Lodwick Point.

The best time to visit Kate’s Point and Elephant Head Points is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entry to these points is completely free.
