Built in 1917 by Maharaja Birendra Kishore Manikya, Kunjaban Palace stands as a symbol of Tripura’s royal elegance. Positioned on a picturesque hillock, the palace was designed as a summer retreat for the Manikya dynasty. Its serene environment, combined with lush gardens and orchards, offered a peaceful escape for the royals.
The palace also holds a strong cultural connection with Rabindranath Tagore, who stayed here during his visits and found inspiration in its tranquil setting.
