How to Reach
Nearest Town: Daporijo, Upper Subansiri district.
By Air: Lilabari Airport (Assam) or Tezpur Airport (Assam), followed by road travel to Daporijo.
By Road: Daporijo → Yachuli → Trekking base camp. The trek to the lake typically starts from nearby villages, requiring several days of hiking through rugged terrain.
Travel Considerations: Due to high altitude and remote location, acclimatization and physical fitness are essential. Hiring local guides is strongly recommended.
Best Time to Visit
April to June and September to October – Clear weather with moderate temperatures ideal for trekking and camping.
Winter months (November to March) bring heavy snowfall, making access difficult.
