About Bap Teng Kang Waterfall

Just 80 km from Tawang town, along the scenic road to Zemithang, lies the Bap Teng Kang Waterfall, locally called Nuranang Tso Chu Falls by some. Dropping from a height of about 30 metres, the waterfall forms a wide, frothy curtain that feeds into a clear natural pool at its base.

Known for its emerald-green waters, rainbow mists, and surrounding alpine forest, Bap Teng Kang is a favourite picnic spot for locals and a refreshing pause for travellers exploring the high-altitude landscapes of western Arunachal Pradesh.

Local Significance & Folklore

The Monpa people believe the area around Bap Teng Kang is blessed by local deities who protect travellers. Its pure waters are considered auspicious, and some pilgrims carry bottles of it back to their homes.
