About Bamniya Kund
Falling from a height of 300 feet, Bamniya Kund is a seasonal waterfall hidden deep within the dense forests of the Malindi region near Mhow (around 50 km from Indore). The water from the waterfall is perennial, though its full glory is seen during the monsoon and post-monsoon months when the cascade turns thunderous and powerful. It’s one of Madhya Pradesh’s most stunning yet underexplored natural treasures.
Exploring Bamniya Kund
To reach Badgonda Village, the starting point for your adventure, visitors will have to take road transport from Indore. From here, it’s a 4-kilometre walk to the Nakheri Dam, which is the starting point of the trek. The trekking trail is marked through the beautiful woods, and you can spot several birds, animals, and exotic plants native to the region. Walk for about 7 to 8 kilometers to finally reach the waterfalls amid all the wilderness.

The place is located in Badgonda Village, which is easily accessible by road transport from Indore. From Badgonda Village, you have to travel a distance of 4 kilometres to Nakheri Dam, which is the starting point of the trek. A trekking trail passing through beautiful woods offers you a chance of spotting several animals and exotic plants that are native to the region.
Best time to visit
The best time to visit the Bamniya Kund waterfall is during the months of September to December, when the weather is pleasant and comfortable. During the rainy monsoon season, the terrain becomes extremely slippery, and mosquitoes and other insects cause an unnecessary problem.
