Overview and History of Birla Mandir 

One of the prominent attractions in Jaipur, Birla Temple, also known as the Laxmi Narayan Temple, is a magnificent Hindu temple that is located at the base of Moti Dongri Hill in Jaipur. Birla Mandir is architecturally beautiful with a spiritual ambiance and is located at a distance of just 6 km from Jaipur Junction. 

Birla Temple was constructed by the prestigious Birla Group of Industries in 1988. It was built on the land that was provided by the Maharaja to the Birla family. 

The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is also known as Lord Vishnu, and his divine consort Lakshmi. Crafted from a single piece of marble, the idols of Lakshmi and Naryan become a captivating sight for visitors. Emanating an aura of tranquility, the temple stands on an elevated platform. The whole temple is made of premium-quality white marble. A green garden surrounding the platform increases the overall charm. There are three domes on the temple that symbolize different aspects of the religion. 

Architectural Marvels and Sacred Artistry 

Numerous Hindu deities offer a visual treat to visitors. Images of Lord Ganesh and ancient quotes from Geeta embrace the walls of Geeta. Throughout the temple, mythological events are intricately engraved.  Several portraits of philosophers and historical figures, such as Buddha, Zarathustra, Socrates, and Confucius, are displayed. 

In the month of Janmashtami, a large number of devotees and visitors visit the Birla Mandir to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna. All around, a vibe of festive spirit spread throughout the temple. Within the temple, a museum is situated that shows ancestral valuables belonging to the Birla family. 

Timing of Birla Mandir 

The museum at Birla Mandir welcomes visitors from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., providing an opportunity to explore the ancestral treasures of the Birla family. The temple itself opens its doors from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
