In the heart of Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary, Jomlu Theertha Falls is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in Karnataka. The waterfall provides a serene and natural escape for those exploring the beauty of Agumbe and its surrounding wildlife sanctuary.

Cascading from a height of 20 feet, the waterfall is situated in Handikallu village, near Agumbe.Jomlu Theertha Falls is the second waterfall created by the river Sita, after Koodlu Theertha Falls, which was the first. Accompanied by the soothing sounds of flowing water and the melody of birds, the waterfall provides a tranquil retreat. 

The best time to visit

The best time to visit the waterfall is after the monsoon season. During the monsoon season,  visitors must exercise caution due to strong currents. Ideal for weekend getaways, the waterfall offers a refreshing setting for a bath. 

Tips and Tricks

Visitors are encouraged to carry food and water, as there are no shops in the vicinity. 

Timing

Fishing enthusiasts can bring rods and try their hand at fishing in the river. The waterfall is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and entry is free.
