About Glenlorna Tea Estate
The only tea estate in the Coorg region, Glenlorna tea estate is a tea plantation located in the Kodagu district (Coorg) of Karnataka, India.It’s a hidden gem for nature lovers and tea enthusiasts.The estate is known for its production of high-quality black tea.
At an elevation of 808 m and surrounded by the Western Ghats, the sprawling tea garden of Glenlorna is spread over an area of 1200 acres.
History legacy
Glenloran is a part of Coorg’s British legacy. They introduced tea cultivation dating back to 1914. It is the only tea plantation in the Coorg district with its own processing unit.
At the tea processing plant, visitors should witness the fascinating journey from tea leaves to the final product.
Old British Bungalow
On the estate, there is a charming British villain named after Glen and Lorna, the children of a British planter. It was built in 1914, when the British introduced tea cultivation in the region. With slanting roofs, an arched portico, and antique wooden beds, the bungalow exudes vintage charm.
Luxurious Accommodation
Today Glenlorna converted into five bright and airy luxury rooms equipped with modern amenities and ensuite bathrooms. The common dining hall and living room, adorned with cable TV, contribute to a comfortable and relaxing stay.

In the lush surrounding estate, you will get to see wild boars, hares, and various bird species.
