Located 8-9 km from Mussorie town, the waterfall sits at an elevation of approximately 1,350–1,400 meters above sea level .The area around the falls is dotted with terraced farmlands, wild shrubs, and patches of oak and pine forest—a typical mid-Himalayan landscape.

The road is motorable up to a point near the Jharipani village, from where the final approach to the waterfall involves a short downhill trek of about 1.5–2 km through narrow trails lined with greenery and occasional viewpoints. On Foot:
