In the Aravalli range, there is a beautiful lake named Siliserh Lake. A hidden gem of crystal clear water under the blue sky is located just 16 km away from Alwar Junction Railway Station in Rajasthan, India. In this article, we will take you on a journey through this enchanting destination that offers a unique experience to visitors. 

Siliserh Lake, along with the reservoir,  is a primary source of water for Alwar.  A palace around the lake was constructed by Maharaja Vinay Singh of Alwar In 1845 as a tribute to his beloved wife. A perfect blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture was used by the Maharaja for a summer retreat. Now it has been transformed into a heritage hotel. The palace holds a significant place in the history of Rajasthan. 

The lake and palace are surrounded by the majestic slopes of the Aravalli range. Both cover an expansive area of 10.5 square kilometers, creating a picturesque scene for visitors. Especially in monsoons when lush greenery covers the slopes of the Aravali range. A photographer enthusiast captures stunning shots of the palace against the background of Siliserh Lake.
