Chanderi handloom park is famous for its saree, The traditional weavers have made a name for themselves in the international market. Chanderi Handloom Park situated 1.5 km away from the Chanderi Bus station is a famous shopping complex for its saree weaving. It’s a must-visit attraction for tourists visiting Chanderi.
The complex was inaugurated in 2008 by Jyotiraditya Madhav Scindia and the then Commerce Minister Mr. Kamal Nathji. 23 top designers and 400 traditional weavers work here in the shops. The handloom park has six building blocks with facilities like an office, eating arrears, workshops, and a play area for weavers’ children. The park offers facilities like trade facilitation, quality certification, theater facilities, and certification for the production of handlooms.
The park is open from 9 am to 8 pm to the visitors
Chanderi has re more than 5,000 looms and 9000 working alone in the Chanderi region.
