About National Gallery of Modern arts
Illuminating the artistic journey of Indians from the 18th century to contemporary times, NGMA is a cultural gem located in the splendidly restored Manikyavelu Mansion. Nestled just 5 km away from Bangalore city railway station , NGMA is a must-visit place in Bangalore.
Inaugurated in 2009, NGMA came under the management of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Manikyavelu Mansion
Spread over an area of 3.5 acres, the Manikyavelu Mansion is a colonial-style masterpiece. Its halls and rooms breathe life into over 14,000 works by luminaries like Raja Ravi Varma, Amrita Sher Gil, Jamini Roy, Rabindranath Tagore, and many more.

Visit Details:
Timings: 10 a.m.–5 p.m. (Closed on Mondays and National Holidays.)
Entry Fee: Rs. 20 for Indians, Rs. 500 for Foreigners.
