One of the prime attractions for exploring Shimla, Annadale, is a good place to visit. Located at an altitude of 6,117 feet above sea level, the historical playground is just 3 km from the Shimla bus stand and 2 km from Shilma railway station.
Annadale’s History
Annadale is a favorite destination for cricketers and polo enthusiasts alike. In the suburban village of Kaithu, Annadale stretches about three-quarters of a mile in circumference. In a serene valley , the ground is located on the Shimla western side.
One of the pioneering individuals, Charles Pratt Kennedy, put forward the name Annandale to Table Land. Since the 1830s, Annadale has been a significant hub for recreational activities in Anglo-India. Various events, sports, parades,army exercises, sports events—Annadale has become the focal point of the center. Sometimes it also used for a heliport facility

Adjacent to Annandale Ground lies the Army Heritage Museum. It illustrates the history of the Indian army and pays tribute to the valor and sacrifices of Indian army personnel.
Behind the museum lies an impressive parade.Additionally, there is a greenhouse that has a diverse array of plants.
