Shaily Peak, also known as Shali Tiba, is a picturesque mountain that stands tall near Khantol, Himachal Pradesh. The peak is located just 30 km from Naldehra and 44 km from Shimla.
The scenic spectacle at both sunrise and sunset, Shaily Peak, boasts an impressive altitude of 9,423 feet. At the top, you get a panoramic view that stretches across Mashobra, Shimla, Kufri, Fagu, and Narkanda. At the top, there is a temple dedicated to Goddess Bhima Kali that was constructed by the Raja of Faridkot in 1936. Revered by locals, especially during Navaratri, the place is visited by a number of visitors. The temple is designed in the traditional rural Himalayan architectural style of wood and stone.

Shally Peaks provides a golden opportunity for adventure enthusiasts and trekkers. The trek starts from the base village of Khatnol and takes around 5 hours to cover 8 km to the top. The trail takes you through verdant landscapes , lush forests, and verdant landscapes. With its manageable access, its ascent is constant.
For those who are looking for an alternative option, a motorable track leads to the top . Additionally, you can hire ponies for a nominal charge, which facilitates a more leisurely ascent.
The trek to the Shaily Peaks should ideally commence early in the morning. As the day unfolds, the surrounding scenery at Khatnol captivates, especially the awe-inspiring experience during the sunrise and sunset. However, there are no shops along the trekking path, so pack sufficient food and water.
