Everyone who is busy with a 9 to 5 job loves the weekend trek. Time is the most precious resource that limits the opportunity to go far from home. Well, Triund trek gives that option. Situated in the breathtaking views of Kangra valley surrounded by the Dhauladhar mountain range, it is a picturesque spot for mountain lovers.
18 km from Dharamshala, the trek offers many options to begin the trek. You can start the trek from Dharamkot or from the other two villages named Bhagsu and Gallu. The trek is short but quite steep, covering a length of 8–9 km from one side. It takes around 4-6 hours, depending on the speed of the person.
Offering a rich variety of flora and fauna, trails pass through the dense forest of oaks, firs, and rhododendrons. Small settlements and streams flowing out of the glacier enrich the overall experience of trekking.
