About Milam Galcier
In the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, the Milam glacier, covering an area of 37 km, starts from the eastern slope of Trishuli.
Milam Glacier Trek is a famous trekking destination in the Kumaon region and is a popular destination among trekkers. It was closed in 1962 due to the India-China War but was responded to by people in 1994.
The trek to the glacier starts from Munsiyari town and ends at Milam town which is situated at the snout of the glacier.
The Goriganga River originates from the Milam Glacier and flows in the Goriganga Valley. It meets the Kali River at Jauljibi.
