About Art of Living International Center
The art of living international centre is a spiritual heaven and the headquarters of the art of living foundation. Located 25 km from Banglore railway station, the centre draw seekers from around the world. Annually, 1.2 million visitors visit the place. It’s perched on Kanakapura Road atop Panachagiri Hills.
Founder’s Vision
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Founded in 1986 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the center embodies his vision of creating a stress-free society through holistic programs encompassing yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda treatments. Referred to as the Bangalore Ashram, it welcomes over 1.2 million visitors annually.
Expansive Oasis
Spread over an area of 250 acres , the ashram encompasses vibrant gardens, winding paths against a glistening lake, and a picturesque backdrop.The campus offers solace against the demands of daily life.
Sacred Gardens
Nakshatra Vanam: Adorned with rare medicinal plants, this garden aligns with astrological principles, providing a serene space for meditation beneath one’s birth star.
Radha Kunj: A tribute to the Vrindavan original, this garden captivates with exotic flora, fountains, lily ponds, and a waterfall, fostering a serene ambiance.
Guru Paduka Vanam: Shaped like a Paduka, this open arena accommodates multitudes, serving as a focal point for gatherings and meditation.
Resonating with spiritual energy, Vishalakshi Mandap is the central meditation hall of the ashram. It can accommodate up to 25,000 people.
Samba Parameshwara Temple
reminiscent of the revered Amarnath cave, Samba Parameshwara temple features 1008 oval-shaped Lingas. It’s crafted in accordance with the principles of Agama.
Holistic Offerings
Inviting participants to delve into self-discovery, the ashram run two foundational courses Sudarshan Kriya introductions to in-depth Advanced Courses.
Seva and Volunteering
To foster the concept of seva, a sense of voluntary service is encouraged in the ashram.
Guided tours
Bus tours : Guided bus tours are available to visitors multiple times a day. You can pre-book at the registration desk to ensure availability.
Timing
Giving a space for reflection and spiritual explanation. The ashram is open to visitors from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Entry
Entry to the living centre is free. It’s opening its door to all.
