About Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple
Originally constructed in the 9th century by the Nolamba dynasty, Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple is an ancient temple located in the quaint village of Nandi. Showcasing exemplary South Indian architecture,the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. During history, various ruling dynasties like Ganga, Chola, Rashtrakuta, Hoysala, and Vijayanagara have contributed to the temple.
Architecture of Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple
Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple is a stunning example of South Indian temple architecture. It consists of a complex that has multiple shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The main enclosure also hosts three shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva: Bhoga Nandeeshwara, Arunachaleswara, and Ardhanareeswara.
Ardhanareeswara temple
Ardhanareeswara temple was constructed during the Hoysala period. It has breathtakingly beautiful pillars, intricate carving depicting various deities, and meticulously crafted roofs.

Devi Temple
Devi Temple, one of the popular destinations for newlywed couples, is situated on the western side of the main shrines. Its intricate carving gives rich glimpses of the past.
Temple Tank
Adding to the charm of Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple, there is a beautiful temple located on the northern side of the main shrine. You can take a walk in the large corridors surrounding the tank.
Preservation
Considering its cultural and historical significance,the temple is currently maintained by the Archaeology Survey of India.
Timing
The temple is open to public visitors from 8 AM to 6 PM.
