Trekker’s Paradise
There are various trekking routes that converge at Bandaje Falls. Among all the routes, adventure seekers use two routes that lead to the falls. A trekker delight, the routes passes through dense forests, grasslands and challenging treks
Via Ujire: Starting from Valambra near Somanthadka village (7 km from Ujire), this trek spans 15 km (one way) through demanding terrain, rewarding trekkers with the mesmerizing sight of Bandaje Falls.
Ballarayana Durga Fort Route: Commencing from Kalabhairaveshwara Temple at Durgadahalli (38 km from Mudigere), this trek involves a 3 km ascent to Ballarayana Durga Fort, followed by a captivating 4 km journey to the waterfall.
Camping Adventure
If you want to do campaigning near the Bandaje Falls, then there are multiple options where you can pitch your tent. In the pristine wilderness of the western ghats and the melody of nature, campaigning offers unforgettable experiences.
Best Time to Visit
It’s not recommended to visit the place during the monsoon season. During this time, the trek becomes very challenging due to the slippery surfaces and the presence of leeches. Post-monsoon season is the best time to visit Bandaje Falls when it is in full splendor. During the summer season, the waterfall becomes dry, so it’s better to avoid it.
Entry
Though entry to the waterfall is free, you can take the help of a guide if you are not sure about traveling alone. They usually charge between Rs. 300 and Rs. 500, depending on the size of the group.
