The temple, commissioned in the late medieval era, boasts a rich legacy of the Peshwa rulers of the Maratha empire. The temple complex comprises two distinct structures—a modest Kalbhairav temple and the grand Harihareshwar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to folklore, Lord Shiva himself bestowed Kalbhairava with divine mantras, endowing the temple with mystical reverence.
Situated atop of Harihareshwar hill, the temple’s architecture embodies the essence of Hindu spirituality.
