Mythology
An internal mythology story of Lord Hanuman is associated with Bandarpunch II. If you compare Bandarpunch 1 with Bandarpunch 2, then it resembles the tail of a monkey. As per legend, Lord Hanuman went to Lanka to save Sita, and his tail caught fire during the battle. So to extinguish it, he flowed to the summit, which is now called Bandarpunch.
