Doodh Dhara Waterfall is a picturesque waterfall located in Amarkantak, a small town in the Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Situated in the Satpura range , near the origin of the Narmada River, the waterfall cascades like a stream of milk falling, giving it the name of “Dhoodh Dhara.”.
The waterfall is associated with spiritualism because it’s believed that Sant Kabir, the famous Indian mystic and poet, had meditated near the waterfall. The waterfall is considered sacred in Hinduism and revered by the devotees of the Narmada River.

By Road:
One can reach Amarkantak by road from nearby cities like Bilaspur, Anuppur, Shahdol, and Jabalpur. Private taxis, buses, and shared cabs are easily available from these cities to reach the waterfall.The waterfall is not accessible by road, one has to walk few hundred meters from Kapil Dhara waterfall.
By Train:
The nearest railway station to Amarkantak is Pendra Road railway station, which is about 17 km away. From there, one can take a taxi or a shared cab to reach the waterfall.
By Air:
The nearest airport to Amarkantak is the Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, which is about 240 km away. From there, one can take a taxi or a shared cab to reach the waterfall.
