About Waichin Valley
Everybody who is planning to travel to Himachal knows about Malana, Kasol, and Tosh. These are mainstream destinations that have emerged over time. In the early years, the place was a favorite among Israelis who traveled to such places after completing their compulsory military duties. They come in numbers to experience an atmosphere of peace and good vibes.
These places are also quite popular for their cannabis. People all over the world come for recreational activities. But apart from all these main tourist hotspots, there is a place named Waichin Valley that is very little heard about. Largely untouched by domestic and international tourism, the Waichin Valley is a lesser-known alternative.
Trek to Waichin Valley
Also spelled Weichin Valley, the place is accessible by road. You can catch an early bus in the morning from Jari that goes up to Malana Dam. From here, the trek goes along the Malana stream through a dense forest of pines and deodars. .
During the trek, two beautiful waterfalls come up where you can relax and enjoy the view of the surroundings. Waichin Valley is around 4 km from Malana Dam and takes around 4–5 hours.
One important thing to keep in mind is to bring your own food and beverages while coming up. Waichin has only a few small shops and cafes where you can make food choices. It’s not quite as popular as Kasol, Malana, and Tosh.
If you are planning to come down, then do remember that the last bus departs from Malana Dam at 5:00 pm to Jari. Also, you can take a shared taxi but do so in advance and keep booking.
