About Pine Forest
A favourite among nature enthusiasts, Pine Forest is a picturesque location in the iconic Kodaikanal hill station. The reserved forest is one of the most visited tourist spots in Kodaikanal.

History of Pine forest
The forest was created in 1906 by Mr. Bryant, a British forest officer, to grow pine trees for commercial purposes, particularly for timber. Kodaikanal has two pine forests: Pine Forest 1 (Observatory Pine Forest 1), which is situated near Kodaikanal Solar Observatory, and Pine Forest 2 at Moir Point.
