Story of Name

The waterfall Has an interesting name, Hatyari Khoh, which translates to “Killer Gorge” in English. There are many interesting stories behind this name. Some claim that once upon a time there was a king who held captive people here during the war and burned them alive in the valley. Another story says this was a secret passage used by the kings. Additionally, once a pig fell into the valley at night, their shrieks were echoed throughout the valley.

How to reach Hatyari Khoh Waterfall

To reach the Hatyari Khoh water, once again, to head to Telyakhedi village. After this, there are only 2 km that can be covered through the muddy village in just 15 minutes. The best thing about the place is that it’s still far away from industrialization and free from the monotony of the stressful life that the human mind has come to live in today’s modern world. 

Best time to visit

During the monsoon season of July to October, when the water flow of the waterfall rises, it’s the best time to visit the Hatyari Khoh waterfall. There are no restaurants available in the vicinity of the waterfall, so it’s best to carry your own bottled water.

By Car: You can take a car to reach Hatyari Khoh Waterfall. The waterfall is located around 22 km from Jabalpur city center. You can take the NH-30 and then take the State Highway 22 to reach the waterfall. The road is well-maintained, and the drive takes approximately 40-45 minutes.

train

By Train: The nearest railway station to Hatyari Khoh Waterfall is Jabalpur Junction, which is well-connected to major cities of India. Once you reach Jabalpur Junction, you can take a cab or taxi to reach the waterfall. The distance from the railway station to the waterfall is around 25 km, and it takes approximately 45 minutes to reach.

By Air: The nearest airport to Hatyari Khoh Waterfall is Jabalpur Airport, which is located around 28 km from the waterfall. The airport is well-connected to major cities of India. Once you reach Jabalpur airport, you can take a cab or taxi to reach the waterfall. The distance from the airport to the waterfall is around 30 km, and it takes approximately 1 hour to reach.
