Gandhi Bhavan, situated on Kumara Krupa Road near Bangalore City Railway Station, stands as a testament to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Established as Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi (GSN) under the guidance of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India, this tranquil venue serves as a repository of Gandhian philosophy.

It was built under the guidance of Dr Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India . He wanted to build a venue that would act as a repository of Gandhian philosophy in future.

Rare Memorabilia

The building is home to a remarkable collection of rare photographs and letters, showcasing pivotal moments from Gandhi’s childhood to the last day of his life. It shed a light of significance milestones in the life of the father of the nation.

Disseminating Gandhian Ideals

To propagate Gandhi philosophies among the people of Karnataka, Gandhi bahavan played a crucial role. At the venue various sessions, seminars and meetings are organised  around the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi.

Annual tribute

Commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s invaluable contributions, every year on 2nd October special programs are organised at Gandhi Bhavan.

Timings

10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
