About Gufa Mandir
Dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva, Gufa Mandir is a renowned Hindu temple located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The temple is a unique cave-like structure that houses shrines of other deities also. The distinctive cave feature gives it a serene and mystical ambiance, attracting spiritual seekers. Around the temple there are many ideal places for introspection and meditation. The temple complex consists of seven natural caves that give it the name Cave Temple. During the summer months, the cave is supplied with natural water that never runs out. To fulfil the wishes of the devotees, the cave also houses Shiva Pindi.
Founded by a Saint
The temple is very old and was established by Sant Naryan Das Ji Mahraj in 1949. He was a revered spiritual leader who envisioned creating a peaceful and sacred space for devotion.
Enthralling Tableaux and Divine Vision of Deities
Inside the cave temple, there is a tableau of deities, including Shri Radhakrishna and Shri Ram Jankaki Laxman, that are installed below the cave. There are a number of structures that are inside the temple; there are three goddesses at the Durga temple, and the temple premises also house a Sanskrit college. A courtyard around the temple houses a famous temple, Old Hanuman Ji.
