Andharban Trek is a mesmerising jungle trek located in the Sahyadri mountain range of Maharashtra. The name “Andharban” translates to “Dark Forest, as the trek passes through dense forests, stunning valley views, and refreshing waterfalls.

How to Reach Andharban Trek
By Road:
From Pune: Approx. 70 km (2-hour drive) via Mulshi and Tamhini Ghat.
From Mumbai: Approx. 140 km (4-hour drive) via Lonavala and Tamhini Ghat.
Nearest village: Pimpri (starting point of the trek).
By Train:
Nearest railway station: Pune Junction (70 km)
From Pune, take a cab or a local bus towards Tamhini Ghat/Pimpri village.
By Air:
Nearest airport: Pune International Airport (75 km)
Hire a taxi or rent a vehicle to reach the trek starting point.
Best Time to Visit
Monsoon (June-September): The best time to experience lush greenery, misty trails, and waterfalls. However, trails can be slippery. The best time to visit is during the monsoon. During this time, the region changes to lush green with waterfalls flowing all over.
Post-Monsoon (October-February): After monsoon, the trail becomes ideal for trekking because of clear valley views and pleasant trekking conditions.
Summer (March-May): Its not recommended to do treks in the summer months but early morning treks are still manageable.
