Located at the foothills of the Kolli Hills, Puliyancholai Falls is a stunning waterfall in the Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu, India. Its a popular tourist attraction for nature lovers.
Natural Beauty
Surrounded by dense forest and rocky terrain, the fall cascades over the rocks. Below, it creates a natural swimming pool, which is ideal for bathing and relaxing. Many locals also visit the waterfall due to the presence of medicinal properties in the water. Many herbal plants are present in the region.
Base for Kolli Hills Treks
Many treks originate from Puliyancholai to Kolli Hills. The challenging 12- km trekking trail from Puliyancholai to Agaya Gangai Falls is a favourite among adventure seekers. Its’s a five-hour hard trek from Puliancholai.
Best Time to Visit
The falls are best visited during or immediately after the monsoon season (June to October) when the water flow is at its peak. During summer, the flow reduces, but the surroundings remain lush and inviting.

Nearby attractions include the Pachai Aruvi (another waterfall in the vicinity) and the Arapaleeswarar Temple in Kolli Hills.

By Road:. Puliyancholai Falls is situated about 72 kilometres from Tiruchirappalli and lies on the way to Kolli Hills. It’s well-connected by road and can be reached by car or bus from Tiruchirappalli or Namakkal
