About Simlipal National Park
Simlipal National Park, located in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, is one of the largest tiger reserves in India and a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Spread over an area of more than 2,750 sq. km, it is renowned for its rich biodiversity, dense forests, gushing waterfalls, and tribal culture.
The park gets its name from the red silk cotton trees (Simul), which bloom vibrantly across the landscape.

Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to visit Simlipal National Park is from November to June, when the weather is pleasant and wildlife sightings are more frequent. The monsoon months are avoided due to heavy rains and restricted entry.
