About Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium
A premier science education and astronomy centre, the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It was established in 1989 by the Bangalore Association for Science Education (BASE) to foster scientific temper and interest in space science.
It is named after India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who had a vision of promoting scientific inquiry and education among young minds.
Observatory with Refractor Telescope
Bringing distant stars and planets closer to earth, a six-inch code refractor telescope is installed into the planetariums. It allows enthusiasts to gaze at the celestial wonders.
Sky Theatre Experience

Show Timing
Taking visitors on an astronomical voyage, the planetarium hosts two daily shows at 3 PM and 4:30 PM. Keep in mind the planetarium remains closed on Monday.
