About coffee museum
A testament to the rich heritage of coffee cultivation and processing, the coffee museum, also known as Coffee Yatra, is nestled 6 km from Chikmagalur Bus Stand.
Managed by the Coffee Board of India, the museum shows the history, cultivation, and processing of coffee. It guides the visitors through the entire journey of coffee, from growing to brewing.
The museum creates a visual narrative of the coffee industry through a gallery of pictures in glass cases. Video presentations further enhance the storytelling. There is a dedicated laboratory space that gives insights into the processes of grinding and the equipment used in coffee.
The sight of coffee plants thriving in pots offers a unique and immersive experience.
