Mythological story of Nuggikeri Hanuman Temple
An interesting story is associated with the origin of Nuggikeri Hanuman Temple. According to the legend, once Lord Hanuman appeared in the dream of a devoted soul. Hanuman instructed his devotee to recover the idol from the depths of Nuggikeri Lake. Following instructions, the devotees unearthed the idol and established it in the temple.
Spiritual Presence
The temple inner sanctum has the idol of Hanuman, made from hard granite and coated with vermilion. It stands at a height of five feet, radiating the divine aura of Sanjeeviraya, as Lord Hanuman. Lord Hanuman holding the gadha (mace) and carrying the Sanjeevani parvath creates a serene ambiance for the devotees.
