About Hayuliang
Tucked away in the scenic folds of Anjaw district, Hayuliang (meaning “the place of my liquor” in the Mishmi dialect) is a charming hill town in the easternmost reaches of Arunachal Pradesh.
Perched at an altitude of about 750 metres, this settlement overlooks the breathtaking confluence of the Lohit River and the Delai River, surrounded by rolling hills, terraced fields, and cloud-draped valleys. The journey to Hayuliang is as mesmerising as the destination itself, with serpentine roads carved into green cliffs, waterfalls tumbling from unseen heights, and panoramic Himalayan views opening at every bend.

How to Reach
Nearest Airport: Dibrugarh (Assam), followed by a road journey through Tezu and Wakro.
By Road: Route – Dibrugarh → Tinsukia → Tezu → Wakro → Hayuliang. The drive offers continuous Himalayan scenery with multiple hanging bridges and gorges.
Helicopter Service: Pawan Hans flights connect Tezu to Hayuliang, subject to weather.
Best Time to Visit
October to April – Pleasant weather, clear skies, and perfect for outdoor exploration.
May to September – Monsoon makes the hills lush but can cause road disruptions.
