Jhari waterfall, also known as Buttermilk Falls, is a captivating waterfall situated on the route to Baba Budangiri or Kemmangundi from Chikmagalur.Enclosed with dense forests and coffee plantations, the waterfall is a picturesque natural heaven. The waterfall is fed by a mountain spring, creating a serene pool below.
While the waterfall remain enchanting throughout the year, during the monsoon and postmonsoon monsoon season, the fall comes out at its best
Practical Information
Road Condition: Due to challenging road conditions, personal vehicles are not allowed, and visitors can opt for a Jeep ride, typically priced at Rs. 600 per Jeep (accommodating up to 6 people).
Refreshments: A small shop near the falls offers hot omelets, Vada Pav, and more, allowing visitors to savor local delights.
Timing
Soaked in natural beauty and tranquility, Jhari Falls can be best discovered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
